She may have only officially gotten the prestigious role last week but the Lord Mayor of Dublin has already found herself in a spot of bother as her car has been clamped outside of the Dublin City Council offices on the quays.
The new Lord Mayor Críona Ní Dhálaigh of the Sinn Fein party was officially confirmed as Mayor last week, as part of a proposal agreed by all other parties to have a Sinn Fein TD in charge to commemorate the upcoming 1916 Easter Rising.
Although the Lord Mayor’s first week charge is not going to according plan as she has become yet another victim of the unforgiving city clampers. The above picture has spread across social media showing the Mayor’s car being clamped right outside the council offices on the quays.
It is believed that the vehicle was illegally parked in a restricted area and it is not meant to be used by members of the general public. It is not yet known weather the new lord Mayor plans on paying the imposed fine.
