No free vote: Mary Lou McDonald promises severe backlash to any Sinn Fein TD who doesn’t vote for abortion on demand up to 12 weeks

The newly elected leader of Sinn Fein, Mary Lou McDonald has threatened all Sinn Fein TDs that they will face a severe backlash if they don’t vote for abortion on demand up to 12 weeks.

Speaking on the week in politics last night, McDonald alluded to severe repercussions to any Sinn Fein TD who doesn’t vote for abortion on demand up to 12 weeks.

Notably Sinn Fein’s Peadar Toibin from Co. Meath has had the guts to constantly say that he believes the unborn child has a right to life and will vote to save the Eighth in the referendum on the Eighth Amendment, will be in the firing line, as such.

Peadar has been outspoken in his support for unborn children and has said that he definitely will vote to save the Eighth.

The Eighth Amendment is the amendment that states the unborn child has an equal right to life as its mother.
