No more pill: Scientists developing new contraceptive patch that could prevent pregnancy for up to SIX months

Female contraceptive could be very well be changed in the near future as scientists are developing a new patch that stop women from getting pregnant for up to six months.

According to The Sun newspaper, revolutionary patch which is still its experimental stage could very well eradicate the need for women to take the pill every day.

Scientists say the new patch which is currently being tested on mice would only need to be used for a few seconds and would last up to six months.

It is understood the patch would be work by implanting micro-needles under the woman’s skin which would then release contraceptives into the body over a certain period of time.

Researchs say the new patch would also eliminate the need for coil implants and it would be pain free.

Although the patch is some way off from being introduced, scientists say they are confident it will be made available in the near future following further research.
