No service: Eir broadband customers face a four day wait as technicians try to rectify technical fault

Thousands of Eir customers have taken to social media to voice their anger after they were left without broadband services on Friday.

According to reports, customers across the country experienced outages which lasted for a number of hours on Friday afternoon with some customers still without service today.

It is understood customers in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Waterford, Sligo, Limerick, Meath, Louth and Kerry have been affected by the outage which will not be repaired until October 3rd.

Speaking about the technical fault a Eir spokesperson said they are aware of the incident and technicians are working hard to address the issue.

“However given the nature of the fault it could be a number of days before normal service is restored to all our customers in the affected areas.”

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the fault.”
