No thanks, mate! HSE strongly advise people to get the flu jab after so-called “Aussie Flu” outbreak

The HSE has strongly advised people to get the flu jab after a so-called “Aussie flu” outbreak.

This month is peak season for the flu with the depths of winter still holding strong until February.

The warning comes after a small number of people sadly died as a result of the outbreak which has hit the country over the past two weeks.

The HSE claim that those who are at most at risk of contracting the virus should immediately make an appointment with their GP in order for them to get vaccinated.

The HSE say those with serious medical conditions and the elderly are high risk to contract the virus if they do not receive the vaccine.

Elderly people and people with an under lying condition are advised to get the jab if they haven’t done so already.
