Speaking outside Leinster house today, Noel Rock TD could barely catch his breath with the amount of praise he was giving the outgoing Fine Gael leader, Enda Kenny.
Rock said he was in the Fine Gael parliamentary meeting today which saw Enda Kenny FINALLY give up the ghost and step down as Fine Gael leader.
Speaking about his departure, Rock wasted no time in listing his reasons why Enda Kenny deserves respect and gratitude no less for his tenure as Taoiseach:
Rock said:
“Enda Kenny deserves our respect today but also our gratitude for the work he has done for both the party and the country.”
“He’s done the party and the country an immense amount of service and for that we should be both respectful and grateful.”
“We should focus on Enda Kenny’s legacy, and it’s an immense legacy, one which saw the county lifted off its knees, its international reputation restored and jobs and the economy improving.”
Rock also said that he’d be supporting Leo Varadkar for Fine Gael leader.
