Charles Manson is now back in Corcoran State Prison, after spending a few days in a medical facility.

Manson was rushed to hospital earlier this week, due to abdominal bleeding. He was scheduled to undergo surgery, but remains too frail.

The 82-year-old is currently serving multiple life sentences for masterminding the murder of seven people in 1969, including actress Sharon Tate, who was heavily pregnant at the time of death.

Charles Manson exerted a great degree of control over his ‘family’, and was able to influence several of his followers into murdering a number of people. According to some of his ‘family,’ Manson was ‘Christ-like’ and had ‘the answer to all questions.’

Three of Manson’s acolytes, Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel, Leslie Van Houten and Charles “Tex” Watson, were convicted for the actual killings. All received the death sentence, but were spared execution due to a temporary ban on the death penalty enacted by the US Supreme Court in 1972.

Manson has been denied parole 12 times. He will be eligible again in 2027.
