The US president Donald Trump has called on China and other leading United Nations to cut off all trade and diplomatic ties with North Korea.
It is believed President Trump’s stark response comes after the North Korean military recently ignored the pleas of the UN and launched another intercontinental test missile.
The president’s request which will surely see the North Korean government step up its efforts was made on Thursday when the US ambassador Nikki Haley told the UN that President Trump has requested that China cut off all oil supplies to the country.
In a statement which will surely escalate tensions between the two nations, Ms Haley said “If war comes, make no mistake we are more than ready and the North Korean regime will be utterly destroyed”.
The threat which has put a number of other leading UN nations on high alert comes after North Korea’s military claimed earlier this week that they are closer than ever before to successfully developing an missile which can reach other nations including the US.
Although it is yet to be proven the Korean government also claim the latest developed missile has made them a major nuclear power given that it has flown higher and further than any other missle launched by any other nation in the past.
