The Brexit movement just took another step in the right direction tonight after MPs voted in favour, for the first time, of legislating for Britain to leave the EU.
The British Prime Minister Theresa May is now set to trigger the formal process of leaving the EU immediately.
The European Union’s “Notification Of Withdrawal” Bill now allows Prime Minister May to invoke Article 50 of the EU treaties.
It was backed by 498 MPs to 114 in the House of Commons.
