More good news on the jobs front today, as US engineering company Abec has announced the creation of 100 new jobs in the town of Fermoy, Co. Cork.

The company, headquartered in Pennsylvania, US, manufactures engineered process equipment for biopharmaceutical manufacturing and provides a wide range of services for global pharmaceutical and biotech customers.

Abec will establish its new European HQ at the former FCI electronics plant, which closed in 2008 with the loss of 240 jobs. Once the new plant is fully operational, it will cater for one hundred jobs over the next two years.

Recruitment has already begun, and available roles include personnel management, engineering, manufacturing, services, and business development.
