A fire is burning near Kevin Street in Dublin 8 that is said to be up to 70 feet high.
Palettes, boxes, tyres and petrol have ignited one of the biggest bonfires that has ever been seen in the country.
100s of onlookers are currently watching an enormous inferno which has been burning since 9:30pm tonight.
One onlooker told The Liberal:
“It’s absolutely insane down here, there is a bonfire the size of a basketball court, hundreds are watching.”
“There was plenty of petrol poured onto the whole bonfire before it was lit, it’ll definitely be alight for the entire night.”
Dublin Fire Brigade have reminded people to mind themselves and mind all animals by keeping them safe and bringing them indoors and safe.
