Opinion: Enda Kenny’s comments about Donald Trump aren’t just stupid – they’re actually dangerous to our economy

Enda Kenny must be the de facto public relation office for Hillary Clinton. Kenny took it upon himself to grab a hold of both Clinton and Obama’s coat tails with the strongest of grips possible and say that Trump is dangerous and that there’s another option people should vote for.

The man, who incidentally idolises Obama so much that he has his inauguration speech actually hanging in his office, hasn’t even the foresight to see the inevitable “Trump train” practically disembarking “The Donald” on the White House platform.

His ludicrous, dangerous, irrational and quite frankly reckless comments about Trump could send the Irish economy into an absolute tailspin.

Trump could be the US President in a just a short few months. Now, obviously Enda Kenny has his hands full on a daily basis, what with opening so many U.S. tech companies that decide to land here… “for the weather”, licking the boots of Mark Zuckerberg and the other super mod-con guys is going to futile if Trump, for example, decides to retaliate for Kenny’s poor judgment, and implement a punitive tax change on foreign subsidiaries – those US tech giants will be gone from Dublin in a less than a heartbeat.

The irony is, Kenny is such a lapdog to Europe and indeed Obama and Clinton, that if they came out and said something far worse than any of the non p.c. stuff Trump has said, Kenny would be the first to praise them.

It’s time Kenny and every other political leader in the world gives Donald John Trump the respect he has sought and won. The polls show he is neck and neck with Clinton and that he is the one of the rise, not her.

Make no mistake, Trump is a shrewd, intelligent and absolutely ruthless operator and if he decided to kick Kenny into touch, Kenny wouldn’t know what hit him and the Irish economy would be thrown back years.
