Oscar Pistorius is “free to conpete” in Olympics for South Africa

“As he stands right now, he’s free to compete” – South African Sports Olympic Committee Chief: Tubby Reddy.

Oscar Pistorius will be sentenced next month for the manslaughter of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. The paraolympian will either walk free or spend up to 15 years in prison as a result of the incident.

South African sporting rules mean a prison record does not stop an athlete from competing.

Is it fair that an athlete can compete after being convicted?
