Toyota has issued a recall notice for over 2.4m hybrid vehicles worldwide, due to safety concerns.
The models recalled are Toyota Prius, Prius+ and Auris hybrid vehicles manufactured between October 2008 and November 2014.
1,289 of these have been sold in Ireland.
Toyota will be contacting the owners of these vehicles to issue further advice.
