Gardai may have lost track of their numbers recently but they say that this time they really did catch 185 people either drink driving or drug driving over the Easter bank holiday weekend.
They said that the figure of 185 is a 48% increase on the same time last year when they caught 125 people.
They have claimed that a major part of the increase is due to the new drug-driving testing that has been invoked since earlier this month.
Gardai claim that many of those caught drug driving had taken cannabis.
