Parents urged to be on Alert as new bullying trend is spreading across schools that has seen children being forced to eat food items that they are allergic to

Parents worldwide are being urged to talk to their children about the dangers of food based allergies after a number of schools across the globe have seen a new trend of bullying that has seen innocent children being targeted through what they eat.

The call for the talk between parents and children comes after a high number of children in countries like the US, UK and even Australia have been subjected to the latest vicious form of bullying.

According to leading health officials the upward trend of food based alergy bullying has come as children are learning more and more about their peers and their allergies.

The recent trend of bullying which has seen vunerable children being forced to eat foods that contains substances that are extremely harmful and sometimes fatal, has been highlighted in a recent university study in Australia, which revealed that up to half of allergy-suffering children have been sickeningly targeted.

Speaking about the latest bullying problem lead research Andrew Fong told Australia’s channel 7News that the problem is beicoming more and more common and parents and teachers should be made more aware of the trend.

Mr Fong : “They’re forced to eat food that they’re allergic to, or people tricking them into eating food.”

“Some of the worst cases of bullying that we looked at is when children have actually had allergic reactions as a result of being bullied.”

“They can be separated from their peers at schools, and they may not be invited to parties.”

“Obviously the perpetrators behind these attacks think it is funny to see their peers face swell up and breakout in a rash and experience other symptoms, but they don’t fully realise the severe dangers that could arise when their victim ingests a substance they are allergic to.”

Mr Fong added that parents across the world should be made aware of this worrying trend and they should sit down and discuss the dangers and the consequences of what happens when a person consumes a food item they are allergic to.
