Paying it forward: Homeless man who gave away the only money had to help a stranded woman gets repaid as he moves into a new home

A homeless man who showed a true act of kindness by giving a stranded woman the only money he had so that she could get home has been rewarded for his goodwill as he finally left the streets once and for all this past weekend and moved into his new home.

The man who has been dubbed one of life’s heroes Johnny Bobbitt Jr who will not have to worry about cold sleepless nights ahead announced this week that he has finally gotten a place of his own after the woman he helped repaid him by raising money for him via a GoFundMe page set up in his name.

Mr Bobbit who has become somewhat of a cult hero in the US was able to buy his new home after the kind public donated to the page setup by the grateful woman Kate McClure.

The remarkable story came about after Mr Bobbit graciously gave his last $20 to Ms McClure after she ran out of petrol on an Interstate 95 exit ramp late one night in Florence Township, New Jersey.

However finding herself unable to repay him after he also gave up his spare time, Ms McClure decided to setup the page so that she could encourage the public to help the kind soul by donating a few dollars.

But in an unexpected turn of events the hero of the hour found himself the subject of national attention with many citizens across the US flocking to the page in an effort to donate what they could.

The amazing act of kindness which clearly touched the hearts of everyone eventually came to a conclusion in the most delightful way this past weekend as Mr Bobbit finally got the keys to his new home after $397,000 was raised via contributions from the more than impressed US public.
