A man in his 40s is in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in the capital in the early hours of this morning.
The man was hit at the junction of Hill Street in Dublin 1 shortly before 12.30am. He was rushed to the Mater Hospital.
Witnesses say that a group of men got out from the vehicle and assaulted the victim, before leaving the scene in the same car.
