A pipe bomb was thrown into the front room of a house in West Singland Road, Garryowen, Limerick, at around 11:30am today. The device did not detonate.

An army bomb disposal unit removed it and made it safe.

Gardai are investigating whether two petrol bomb attacks that took place earlier in the city last night may be connected with this latest incident.
