The country’s biggest Electricity provider ESB Networks have now officially confirmed that more than 210,000 customers are without power this afternoon.
According to engineers at the company Munster has been the worst affected region with power being knocked out in the South and South West of the country.
The ESB say customers may prepare themselves for the worst as power will not be restored until tomorrow morning with some areas expecting further delays whilst repair works take place.
