Police in Toronto have sadly confirmed that a 10 year old girl and an 18 year old woman have died following a shooting incident outside a restaurants on Sunday evening.
The attack which occurred in the city’s Greektown area sadly seen a further 13 people injured.
Although police have yet to determine a motive behind the attack, it is understood a gunman dressed in black walked up to the restaurant and opened fire at innocent civilians inside.
It is believed that the gunman who was shot dead by police officers fired at least 20 shots into the crowd of people during the attacking which at 10pm local time.
Police say a number of civilians were injured in the attack and some have undergone emergency surgical procedures at nearby hospitals.
They also say they believe the gunman was aged 29 years old, although they have refused to release his identity to the press.
It is not yet known why the man carried out the attack, but police have yet to rule out terrorism.
