Police in the North have confirmed that a 23 year old man has been charged with animal cruelty following the brutal killing of an 11 week old puppy.
The charges come after the man carried out a sickening attack that resulted in the death of the defenceless pup.
It is understood that a 16 year old was also arrested in connection with the incident, but police say he has been released on bail whilst a follow up enquiry takes place.
Police say the 23 year old man is due to appear before court later this morning.
The arrest comes after the pup named Sparky was subjected to a brutal hammer attack before being put in a Microwave oven, at a house in the Ailsbury Park area of Lurgan on Saturday evening.
It is also alleged that the sickening footage of the pups brutal killing was uploaded on social media via Snapchat.
