Police in Belfast have confirmed that a 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a threat that was issued against a school.
The arrest comes as members of the PSNI had requested garda assistance with an investigation after a primary school in east Belfast received an alleged threat by email. The email was sent to Elmgrove School which is located in an unionist area of Belfast. Police say the school will be closed tomorrow and extra police patrols will be on duty in the vicinity.
Meanwhile Alliance MP Naomi Long has described the malicious email as “reckless in the extreme” and said she has been assured by the police that they are following a definite line of inquiry.
