Specialist teams in the north have carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious vehicle that had been left seemingly abandoned in the west side area of Derry.
This was the third security alert today, after officers attended two calls regarding hijacked vehicles across the city.
Derry has been on high alert since an explosive device went off outside a courthouse on Saturday evening. A number of people are being questioned in relation to that incident.
