Pope Francis tells 500,000 congregation – “God’s love is reflected in the strength of families”

Pope1

Pope Francis gave a very funny but very important message last night in Philadelphia.

He spoke about the importance of family and that all God’s love is reflected in the strength of the family. After a 3 hours concert that had various celebrities and lay-people alike dancing, singing and witnessing their own messages, Pope Francis took the stage to address a huge 500,000 crowd.

The speech was unscripted and was performed just in front of the “Rocky Balboa steps” in Philadelphia.

He said that “God loves us all, it’s His love that gives us strength and God’s love is reflected in the strength of the family”.

The popular Pontiff said that “I know families aren’t always easy.” He joked, “You might think because I’m not married I don’t know that – but I do.”

He said “I know plates can get thrown and children can cause headaches”.

Then the crowd erupted when Pope Francis said “And don’t even get me started on mother-in-laws”.

His Holiness said that he was asked from a little boy what God did before He created the world, again everybody laughed:

“God created Love – and that’s what He gave to us”, responded the Pontiff.

The elaborate ceremony was loved by all in attendance and the millions who watched from around the world.

Pope Francis will conclude his incredible and successful American tour today by celebrating a mass (9pm Irish time on Fox News/CNN/EWTN) in the same venue in front of a gargantuan 1 million people!
