The creator of the much loved Postman Pat series John Cunliffe, has sadly passed away it has been confirmed.
Cunliffe, who was also the creator of the Rosie and Jim series, died on September 20th, but the news of his passing was not released to the public until this week.
The news of former teacher and librarian’s death was confirmed to the Press Association by his agency, David Higham Associates.
Cunliffe was a renowned children’s author and wrote over 200 children’s books during his career.
He is survived by wife his Sylvia and his son Edward.
