Praise for Conor McGregor after he donates €10k to Drogheda boy who needs special medical treatment

There’s been huge praise to Conor McGregor after we ran a piece yesterday about how he and his family donated €10,000 to young Bryan Buckley from Drogheda who needs specific medical treatment.

Little Bryan Buckley has been desperately fighting for his life since September 2017. Bryan’s mother Grainne exclusively told The Liberal how her life completely changed in a split second when her son went into septic shock and was was on life support. He needed dialysis, blood transfusions and platelets remaining in intensive care for 10 days and in hospital for a total of 11 weeks.

Grainne, who blatantly adores her child, says she started a GoFundMe campaign to get an operation Bryan desperately needs. She says her little boy is being fed by a nasal tube but that’s so strong again that he pulls tube out all the time leaving his faces marked.

The Drogheda woman said that she’s trying to raise money to get her son seen by a private consultant who will look after him medically and fit the tube in his stomach by undergoing a specific surgery. She said she’s currently Bryan’s mother, doctor and carer.

She has successfully raised a lot of money but she said she was completely shocked this morning to receive an email showing that the Notorious Conor McGregor and his family have donated €10,000 to little Bryan with it being dubbed “from one fighter to another”.

Grainne said herself and her friends cannot believe the extremely generous gesture and that she is so grateful Conor is helping her son have a chance at the life he deserves.
