The Ray D’Arcy made a return to our TV screens last night, and for D’Arcy’s first guests, he had none other than Mrs Brown and her pals aka Brendan O’Carroll and his son and grandson.
Brendan spoke in detail about a recent Live Show the crew acted for the BBC. He said it was the most complex and intensive show that they ever did on television. His son and grandson are both in Mrs Brown’s Boys and spoke about their acting roles and ambitions.
D’Arcy sort of pushed O’Carroll in a political direction by asking him if he’d ever run for office. To the surprise of the audience, people were expecting him to say “no, not me”, he said he would consider running for the Presidency at some point down the road.
He was serious, too. He didn’t back off from follow-up questions, he seemed to legitimately have put some thought into it well before last night.
So, the question is, would you vote Brendan O’Carroll for President?
