The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar met President Donald Trump today in the White House for the pinnacle of Varadkar’s week-long trip to the United States to celebrate St Patrick’s Day festivities.
They two spoke about Ireland, its connections to the United States, trade, Irish-Americans and a proposed State Visit by President Trump to Ireland during his first term.
The two appeared to get on very well with President Trump declaring he loves Ireland and the Irish people, he grew up in New York and knows many Irish-Americans.
