President Higgins inauguration ceremony officially moved in order to avoid Armistice commemoration clash




President Michael D Higgins official inauguration has been officially moved in order not to clash with the the Armistice commemorations on Sunday week.

The move comes after President Higgins formally wrote to the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar asking for the event to be changed.

It is now expected that the President’s inauguration ceremony will take place at 6pm on Sunday November 11th.

In a brief statement a spokesperson for the Taoiseach, said President Higgins request for a time change had been accepted.
