Last week there was quite a stir on social media after it was revealed that the world’s most loved cartoon The Simpsons predicted that Donald Trump would be president almost 16 years ago to the day.
Well now it seems the writers of the long running cartoon/sitcom have given their prediction to who will be taking the oval office following Trump’s reign, and it seems they are plumping for their 2007 prediction when the Terminator himself Arnold Schwarzenegger was president in the smash hit 2007 movie adaption of the popular series.
However Mr Groening and co have already faced string criticism from the US public after it was revealed that the US constitution states that: ‘No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.’
Although there could be some truth to the writers prediction as a number of people have disputed this and believe it doesn’t mean you have to be born in one of the 50 states to be a ‘natural born citizen’.
I’ll guess we will have to wait and see if it comes through! Would you like to see president Schwarzenegger?
