Presidential hopeful Peter Casey has thanked the public for their support after he decided to remain in the race for the Áras.
Mr Casey who confirmed over the weekend that he will remain in the race, penned an open letter which was released on Twitter page thanking the public for their support.
In the letter which was released over the weekend Mr Casey said he was overwhelmed by the public’s support after receiving a high number of phonecalls and email’s calling on him not to leave race.
Mr Casey who recieved strong criticism over recent comments, said the public’s reaction played a key part in convincing him to stay in the Presidential campaign.
