The hit US drama Prison Break made it’s long awaited return on FOX last night and according to media outlets state side the gamble to bring back the show has already paid off the network.
According to entertainment websites across the pond the return of Michael and Lincoln has already made good impression with viewers, after being off the air for eight years,
It is reported that viewers were so pleased about the series return as millions flocked to discuss season 5’s gripping plotline which revealed Michael’s return from the dead.
Twitter was apparently awash with comments with one user writing: “@PrisonBreak definitely didn’t disappoint! So much action packed into one episode. Can’t wait for the rest of the season.”
Whilst another wrote: “My heart is so happy prison break is back,” said another, whilst a third added: “I missed you so much prison break! Welcome back.”
Although official viewing figures have not been released it seems the return of the hit series which received widespread acclaim during it’s original run from 2005 to 2009 has paid off for the network who have revived shows such as the X Files and 24 in recent years.
