Pro choice abortion activists hold rally in Dublin’s city centre

The pro choice abortion activists were out and about in their dark colours today on the streets of Dublin’s city centre.

Walking from the Garden of Remembrance to the Dail, the pro choice abortion activists shouted “take your rosaries off our ovaries” and chanted about repealing the 8th amendment, the Constitutional amendment that states both the mother and their unborn baby have an equal right to life – something that the pro life campaign are trying to ensure stays that way.

Today’s rally saw banners with “abortion on demand, without apology” and “no men should have a say” written on them.

The Liberal sent a couple of reporters down to chat to some at the rally and we’ll be posting a video to our Facebook page about the rally.

Meanwhile, the Pro Life Campaign organised leafletting events at 20 locations around the country to help highlight the humanity of the baby in the womb, and the fact that the 8th Amendment is a life-saving law.
