Pro life activist starts hunger strike outside the Dail in a bid to make Leo Varadkar watch a video of an unborn baby being aborted

An independent politician from Donegal has begun a hunger strike outside the Dail, in a bid to force Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and the Oireachtas Committee to actually watch footage of an unborn child being aborted.

Pro-Life activist Tim Jackson announced the start of his hunger strike outside Leinster House yesterday via his Facebook page.

In a public message to Taoiseach Varadkar and Minister for Children, Catherine Zappone on September 11th, Jackson asked them to view the footage of abortion being carried out so as to understand the “barbarity” of the procedure.

Unborn children in Ireland do enjoy the Right to Live as enshrined in the constitution. However many powerful interests seek to end this and a referendum is set to take place next spring on repealing the eight amendment.
