Donald Trump has become the first U.S President to address the annual ‘March for Life’ in Washington DC, which has taken place every January for the last 45 years to promote the right to life of unborn children.
The march, which rallies hundreds of thousands of supporters of the right to life, culminated at the White House.
President Trump reflected on what had been achieved in his first year in relation to protecting the unborn, namely, enacting the Mexico City Policy or “Pain capable bill” which would ban late term abortions in the United States.
President Trump also signed an executive order protecting religious liberty and has put forward a new proposal to protect religious rights and consciences, which allows medical personal to legally refuse to carry out procedures, such as abortion, that conflict with their conscience.
President Trump’s speech as been described as “inspirational” by Irish Pro Life activists as they face treachery from certain politicians in this country who are trying to introduce abortion here.
