The Mars chocolate company have issued a product recall notice after a number of its products have been found to contain Salmonella.
The company have issued a precautionary recall for a number of popular sweets including Maltesers and Galaxy counters after the harmful bacteria was discovered in one of the ingredients that make the bars.
They claim that the following products are being recalled and should you have any, discard of them immediately:
Galaxy Counters: Product code: AW99G; Batch codes: 720B1SLO00, 720C1SLO00; Best before date: 13.05.2018
Maltesers Teasers: Product code: AX46E; Batch codes: 7720C1SLO00,720D2SLO00; Best before date: 13.05.2018.
A company spokesman said the recall is purely a precautionary measure and has urged the public to check for the above bar codes before consuming the product, they also say a full refund will be provided to customers after they return the contaminated products.
