If you happen to be a fan of prosecco you may want to look away now after footage appeared online showing a major leak that has seen 30,000 litres of the spark wine going to waste.
The tragic scenes which will surely have many a wine lover look on in horror occurred at winery in Conegliano, Veneto, in Italian the province of Treviso, recently.
Although it is not known what caused the costly leak, it is believed that a vat containing 30,000 litres of the must have wine exploded from the top causing a prosecco like fountain.
The footage which has been shared thousands of times on social media was recorded by a worker at the winery who could believe what had happened before his eyes.
It is thought that the leak occurred after the large container was overfilled by other staff members at the winery.
Thankfully for many of you the winery have confirmed that the leak will not affect distribution as they have more than enough prosecco to fill 600 million bottles.
