An impromptu protest organized by the ‘Black Lives Matter’ group in London City Airport has caused disruption to flight schedules in Ireland and elsewhere.
It is understood that a group of nine protesters entered the runway area at the airport and chained themselves to a makeshift metal tripod.
The incident has caused disruption to a number of flights to and from Dublin, including BA4461, WX114, and BA4463. Flights WX103 and BA4460 to Dublin have been cancelled.
