PTSB customers urged to be vigilant after a new scam that asks for an account holders details is discovered 




One of the countries leading banks Permanent TSB has issued a warning to its customers after they uncovered a new scam that is tricking account holders into giving fraudsters their details.

In announcment PTSB have urged customers not to give details after a new scam message that is sent via text and email was uncovered.

The message which tricks customers by asking them to click into a link that is made to look like the PTSB website and give their banking details.

The trick message reads as follows:”Some information on your Open24 account appears to be missing or incorrect.”

“Please confirm your information promptly so that you can continue to enjoy all the benefits of your Open24 account. If you don’t confirm your information, we’ll limit what you can do with your account.”

In a response to the scam PTSB have urged customers NOT to open the message, before stating that the they would never contact a customer directly requesting their details.
