Puan, the world’s oldest female Sumatran orangutan, has passed away aged 62.
Puan (Indonesian for ‘lady’), had been at the zoo since 1968. The animal had 11 children and 54 descendants spread across several continents.
Puan entered the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest verified living female Sumatran orangutan.
