A commuter in India was the subject of a bizarre arrest recently after the smell from his feet caused a major disturbance on a public bus.
The man who has since been released on bail after being charged with causing a public disturbance and being a nuisance, was the subject of police investigation after he was involved in altercation with fellow passengers on a bus from the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh to New Delhi.
In the rather strange story the man who has not been named caused a stir when he decided to remove his shoes and socks whilst on the crowded bus.
According to local media police officers were called in to sort out the matter after the bus driver was forced to stop on a police station in order to defuse the situation.
It is understood police decided to arrest the man after he refused to put his socks and shoes back on despite bith the pleas of fellow passengers and the bus driver.
In a brief statement regarding arrest a spokesperson for the Himachal Pradesh police service said the man was taken into police custody after he caused a disturbance on a public bus by shouting at and threatening fellow passengers.
They added the individual involved has since been released on bail and he is currently awaiting prosecution for his actions.
