Railway line between Limerick and Dublin closed temporarily due to a death on the tracks

The rail line between Limerick and Dublin remains closed at this time, after a woman was killed by a passing train.

The incident happened near Ballysimon, Limerick, at around 5.30pm.

It is understood a woman was hit and killed by a train. Passengers were transported to Limerick via bus.

Gardai refer to the incident as a ‘personal tragedy.’
