Rate of benefits cuts for unemployed people who refuse job offers jumps by over 2,000%

There has been a marked increase in the rate of unemployed people whose benefits have been cut as a result of job and training offer refusals.

New figures just released indicate that almost 3,000 people experienced cuts to their benefits between January and March of this year alone.

If penalties continue at this rate throughout the year, up to 12,000 may see their benefits affected by December.
