The poll by American media out CBS, known for towing the mainstreams anti-Trump narrative, showed that almost 100% of republicans, three quarters of independents and just under half of democrats approved the speech.
In his second state of the Union, Trump highlighted the economic achievements of his administration, which included a record high stock market, significantly higher than expected jobs growth and the lowest African-American unemployment in decades.
Ironically, the Democrats Black caucus refused to applaud or even acknowledge Trump’s success in helping their community.
President Trump’s guests included a North Korean defector, who waived his crutches in adulation at Trump’s success in dealing with the communist tyranny. Other guests included wounded veterans and decorated members of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
While most Democrats refused to stand or applaud President Trump, some did inadvertently begin clapping or begin to stand before being pressure into sitting in silence by colleagues.
Trump hailed Family values, patriotism, kindness and faith in God which provoked chants of U.S.A from most and walkouts from some.
