Rescue 116: Hundreds turn out to mark the 1st anniversary of the Rescue 116 tragedy




Hundreds of people turned out in Blacksod, Co. Donegal today and indeed in the early hours of this morning to remember the four crew members of Rescue 116.

Today marks the 1st anniversary of the helicopter crash which saw the four crew members lose their life when their chopper crashed into the side of a cliff face and went into the sea.

As it stands, two crew members, Ciarán Smith and Paul Ormsby are still missing at sea after the crash while the bodies of Dara Fitzpatrick and Mark Duffy were recovered in the days.
