Rescue services attend two serious incidents in Wicklow and Cork

Emergency services were called out to Fairy Castle, south west of Three Rock mountain in the Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown area of County Wicklow at approximately 12.15pm this afternoon.

Dublin-Wicklow Mountain Rescue personnel were also on scene, where visibility was described as “very poor with low clouds, mist and fog”.

Elsewhere, a man has suffered serious head injuries in Cork after falling off a horse.

A second helicopter was dispatched to Kilbeg, near Skibbereen, where the man was described as being in critical condition.
