Rescue teams are hopeful the weather will remain calm today in order to reach the wreckage of Rescue 116

Rescue teams conducted the search for the three remaining crew members from rescue helicopter 116 say they remain hopeful that weather conditions will remain calm this morning in order to dive down to the wreckage of the stricken aircraft.

The news comes after all teams revealed that final preparations have been made and all the necessary equipment has been loaded onto boats to continue search off Blackrock island.

The rescheduled search will begin after rescue divers were unable to reach the wreckage in the past number of days due to adverse weather conditions.

The three remaining crew members have now been missing for more than ten days after their helicopter went down during a rescue mission.
