Paris was not the only place in the world to suffer a horrific loss of life this week.

In Beirut, the busy Bourj al-Barajneh district which is filled with shops, cafes and restaurants, was targeted by two suicide bombers during the evening rush hour on Thursday. At least 43 people lost their lives and a further 230 were injured.

However, the death toll would have been much, much bigger without the heroic and selfless act of Adel Termos. Termos tackled the second bomber after hearing the first blast go off. However, he lost his life in the process when the suicide bomber detonated. His actions saved the lives of many.

Although it was believed that his daughter had also been killed in the attacks, it is now being reported that she survived and has apparently been pictured paying tribute to her father in a ceremony to remember those who lost their lives in the blasts.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the bombings.
