The cost of living in Ireland will become that bit dearer yet again, as health insurer LAYA has announced that the price of its policies will increase by an average of 5% from January.
According to the company, this latest rise is due to an “unsustainable increase in the cost and volume of claims in public and private hospitals, along with a significant increase in consultant costs are the main factors driving this review.”
